Military Child
USA Cares Month of the Military Child Facebook Fundraising Campaign
April is designated by the Department of Defense as the Month of the Military Child. Its purpose is to recognize and thank military children for their sacrifices while honoring their unique experiences and service to our country. According to the DOD, there are more than 1.6 million military children in the U.S. today.
USA Cares has supported post-9/11 veterans, service members, and their families for nearly 20 years. Our goal is to give veterans and their families the financial support they need to stay housed and safe. In 2022, we assisted 845 families with 1,129 children, but the need for our services continues to grow.
This is where you, a USA Cares supporter, can help. USA Cares is running a Facebook Fundraiser Campaign. The goal is to have at least 100 individual Facebook Fundraisers, with consistent messaging and graphics, all running during the month of April. We would like to get at least one fundraiser from every state.
How can you help? Please sign up to participate in the campaign at 2023 USA Cares Month of the Military Child Campaign (funraise.org). During the sign-up process, you can link the sign up to your Facebook page and the Fundraiser will automatically be set up. Detailed step by step directions can be found by clicking here.
You can also share this information with 3-5 friends and family and ask that they create their own Facebook Fundraiser to support the effort.
What if you are not a Facebook user? The opportunity to help is still available on the other social media platforms. See attached directions for information on Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
