USA Cares

CERTIFIED MILITARY HOUSING SPECIALIST PROGRAM

USA Cares now offers a nationally certified course designed to provide loan officers, realtors and housing professionals with a clear understanding of how to work with military borrowers, whether they’re using a VA loan or other type of financing.

This course helps housing professionals make sense of the military language, rank and pay system, delivering the tools and knowledge necessary to provide prompt and competitive service to military borrowers in a timely and competitive manner, especially in a fast-paced market. It also includes advice regarding foreclosure prevention, with tips that loan officers and realtors can give their clients to help them avoid mortgage delinquencies in the future.

What are the benefits of being a Certified Military Housing Specialist?

Lenders: Be sure realtors know you are the lender to call when working with military clients.
Real Estate Professionals: Provide your military clients with the advocacy they deserve when purchasing a home.
This course has been approved for a total of four Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) through the American Bankers Association (ABA) and the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education (AFCPE).
Upon completion of the course, housing professionals will be provided with a certificate of completion, supplemental resource guides, and graphics that they can use to identify themselves as Certified Military Housing Specialists.
Inclusion in our interactive online Certified Military Housing Specialists Map, a current directory of participating certified lenders, real estate and housing professionals where military consumers can find experts who understand their unique needs as they work together to make affordable and sustainable housing decisions.
