2021 Care Package Drive for Homeless Veterans
This April, USA Cares is leading the charge in providing assistance to the homeless veteran community in Kentuckiana with a care package drive, and we’re inviting everyone in the Compassionate City to “Give a Day” and join us in supporting those in need in our community.
In coordination with Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer’s “Give a Day” week of service, the collection period of the donation drive will run from April 1 through April 30, 2021. USA Cares and several community partners are currently collecting individual and travel-size items to include in the care packages, and are seeking donations of the following items:
• Soap, shampoo & conditioner
• Deodorant
• Chapstick
• Lotion and sunscreen
• Washcloths
• Toothbrushes & toothpaste
• Mouthwash (only alcohol-free)
• Hairbrushes & combs
• Individual packets of laundry soap
• Facial tissues (small packs)
• Granola bars, cracker packs
• Anti-bacterial wipes
• Disposable razors
• Cotton socks
• T-shirts
