Fort Hood Family Emergency Fund
USA Cares has established the Fort Hood Family Emergency Fund in response to the tragic events that occurred on the base of the Army’s largest military installation. The fund, which serves to assist the immediate families of those wounded and killed, will provide for travel, housing and meals. USA Cares has directed the funds from several upcoming events to go to this emergency effort. ELIGIBILITY*:
- Immediate family–parents, siblings and spouse
- Guardian
- Grandparents

BENEFITS:
- Travel–round trip airfare (inconus) either to Fort Hood (wounded) or burial site
- Lodging–two weeks in the Fort Hood area
- Meals–two weeks in the Fort Hood area
PROCESS:
- USA Cares has established verification guidelines for the above-listed benefits
- USA Cares will arrange for travel and lodging
- Retroactive claims will require copies of receipts
