Course teaches the lending and housing community how to work with military borrowers

Bill Nelson, Executive Director of USA Cares, announced the course, designed to provide loan officers, Realtors and housing professionals with a clear understanding of how to work with military borrowers—whether they’re using a VA loan or some other type of financing. The USA Cres Military Family Housing Education course provides the military borrower community certification, providing them the tools and knowledge they need to deliver the skilled service our military borrowers expect and deserve.

Available online, this free, three-hour course explains military language, rank and pay system. It outlines what happens when a service member is injured, and explains how their pay will continue during hospitalization and treatment. Upon successful completion of the course, participants are certified and awarded their certificate of completion. This mark of excellence is becoming a sought-after sign to military borrowers—the promise they will receive the expert service and care they deserve.

USA Cares maintains a current listing of certified participating lenders, real estate and housing professionals. this is where military consumers can find loan officers and housing professionals who understand their unique needs and subscribe to the recommended Standards of Practice as they work together to make affordable and sustainable housing decisions.
