Nationwide Live Course Campaign
Education Program to Certify Military Lenders and Housing Professionals
USA Cares has launched the live version of the Military Housing Specialist Certification Program. Now, lenders and housing professionals around the country have the opportunity to learn about and better serve military borrowers. The course is directed by Beverly Frase, USA Cares Military Housing Specialist Program Manager. Mary Ann Pino, President of the New York Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB), joined as a volunteer to assist Beverly with developing live course materials and to promote the course throughout the US.
The New York Association of Mortgage Brokers was the first industry trade association to kick off the live course. It was held at the NYAMB’s 18th Annual Wholesale Conference in Tarrytown NY, where 34 members of the NYAMB received their certification as Military Housing Specialists. NYAMB continues to support the initiatives of USA Cares and is scheduled to hold another live course this year, their third event.
Beverly and Mary Ann Pino are working to put together a team of volunteers to assist with the campaign and have recruited Regional Coordinators to help:
Ms. Carol Gardner, President, Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals (IAMP); Kay Cleland, 2012 Board of Directors, National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) and 2010-11 Woman of the Year, National Association of Professional Women; Vicki White-Sklark, Government Lending Training Consultant; Richard Booth, Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and faculty member, Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).
All are honored to provide their support to such an important initiative and are delighted to be the “boots on the ground” for the nationwide campaign.
