*USA Cares Jobs for Vets program is open to all veterans. Financial assistance may be available for qualifying OIF/OEF for expenses that include, but are not limited to travel to/from interviews, specialized tools, uniforms and relocation. All financial assistance is granted on a case-by-case basis and may be limited based on availability of funds.

Group of Unemployed Chicago-land vets get the training, the job and a new future because of national program partnership

Six previously unemployed Chicago-area post-9/11 veterans can now count themselves among the newly employed thanks to a job-training “boot-camp” partnership between USA Cares and the Illinois chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.
After seven intensive weeks of paid training for electrician certification, these veterans - some homeless before entering the program - are now in well-paying jobs.
